Hi friends!!!

Something cool about me is I love sunsets!!!! Sunsets are one of my favorite things: amongst clouds, trees, stars, rain droplets. the moon, music, film photography, laughing and getting to know people. 

All of these things strike me in one way or another. For instance, clouds– how cool are clouds? Seriously? I was sitting on the beach the last night we were in Jaco and I was so taken back how truly beautiful clouds are. They’re like explosions put on pause. In all different shapes or sizes. My love and appreciation for them deepened a lot after watching the beautiful sun go down in Jaco. God is an artist and nature is one of his masterpieces. Sunsets are God’s signature on the sky. His awe- inspiring message of love. The most incredible part of all, though, is the same God who handcrafts each sunset, sculpts every mountain, and makes the waves dance to and from the shore. He sees the same beauty in you that is in every sunrise/ sunset and every breaking wave. Sunsets give me such a comforting sense of God’s amazing love and goodness. 

Photography- the art of capturing moments. Taking a memory and freezing it into a photo, everlasting tangible memories. Music- emotion made into a rhythm that effortlessly connects people and brings them together despite differences in ethnicity, gender, religion, etc. Laughing- googles definition is pretty good so- “make the spontaneous sounds and movements of the face and body that are the instinctive expressions of lively amusement” — I’ll just leave that there to sit with you, and I indeed challenge you to watch someone laughing with everything within them- and capture that moment in your mind because in that very moment, happiness is physically presenting itself, to you. Trees- go through seasons, like we go through emotion. Trees are sad in the winter when all of their leaves fall off, happy in the spring when flowers begin to bloom, and so on. Stars- like specks of glitter that sit in the sky, constantly twinkling. I often see stars in ones eyes when they talk about something they’ve grown super passionate about. StARs :’) Rain droplets, drip, drop, drip, the sound, the refreshing feeling of tiny little droplets on your skin when you step outside into the rain. Ahh. Most people hate getting wet when it rains outside, not me. I love it. Sunsets- basically the sky is the Lord’s canvas and He may show himself in various ways, through a song, through a person, the shape of a cloud, He’s everywhere, but in the sky especially. In the beautiful colors of the sunset, creating peace and stirring up serenity in our souls. Lastly, getting to know people- getting to know their dreams, their hearts, their taste in music, getting to see their face light up when they talk about something they’re passionate about.

I love all of these things, so. much. 

We were meant to show ourselves and our colorful minds to people. To inspire and create memories, to leave our marks on the world. A footprint. The World Race. I cannot express how excited I am that this door was opened by HIM!!! I bet you feel the excitement radiating through the phone, or the laptop you’re reading this on. I’m thankful-Oh So thankful. I wish there was a word stronger than thankful to express my gratitude to the Lord for everything He’s done for me, my family, and friends. I’ve been blessed with 41 best friends that I will be traveling with to spread the love of Jesus around the world, he’s our dad. I’ve got amazing, encouraging, positive soul mates.
