Hola, qué pasa!!! from Jaco, Costa Rica!!! this is my first blog outside the states πŸ™‚

Here in Jaco, we partnered with a ministry called Oceans Edge. Oceans Edge exist to facilitate, train and mobilize others to live the abundant life by using their unique God-given gifts to love God, reflect the character of Jesus Christ, and positively impact their local community as they embrace a mission lifestyle. Our time here in Jaco, we will be assisting the local church in a variety of ways including the children’s ministry each sunday morning, cleaning/organizing, babysitting, and more. We are working on a city wide prayer initiative, art/mural ministries, doing some light construction projects at Ocean’s Edge and in the local parks. God has been moving here in Jaco!!

For the past couple of days I have been listening to a podcast called Bema Discipleship. Y’all if you haven’t heard of it, jump on the train like WOW!!! it is so cool the way they break down scripture in the Bible starting in Genesis. I normally don’t listen to podcast but this one was sooooo GOOD.

Over this past week, God has been showing me what it feels like to rest in his presence.

To center my life around meeting with God feels each moment with the glorious abundance of God’s love. provision, and transcendent peace. I want to explore with God what it means to center my life around him fully. I want to have true intimacy with our Father. He showers us with his unconditional love wherever we are. I know if I want to go my own way sometimes, he willingly and patiently waits for me. The moment that I turn my heart back to him, he is there to fill me with a revelation of his loving nearness. God’s love is powerful and real. His presence is always available.

John 15:5 says I am the vine, you are the branches: If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Thank you all for the love and support!!

Till next time

  1. Good morning Macy. I am so jealous of both your destination and your love of God. I love to travel and just last March I was in Costa Rica with John and my friends. Where does the time go? I miss John so much.
I want that close relationship with God. I seem to drift further and further away. I have never talked to God like you do. But that is going to change. Something is missing in my life.
You stay safe and I miss you. I love you like you are my own. Let me know if you need anything.
    Love and kisses.
